چکیده
This study investigates the use of a spring-bar mechanism (SBM) in vibration suppression system to improve its performance. The SBM, comprising bars and springs, is configured with conventional linear spring-damper isolator unit. dynamic response, force transmissibility, energy flow behaviour are studied evaluate performance integrated system. It found that SBM can introduce hardening, softening stiffness, or double-well potential characteristics By tuning parameters, constant negative stiffness achieved so natural frequency overall reduced for enhanced low-frequency isolation. also proposed design yields wider effective isolation range compared previously mechanism. response relation force-excited derived using averaging method elliptical functions. exhibit chaotic motions, which associated time-averaged power tend an asymptotic value as time increases. shown variables be used uniform indices nonlinear isolators exhibiting periodic motions. assist reducing transmission input power, thereby expanding attenuations.

Design of a non-contact magnetic spring for vibration isolation
This document serves to summarise the research performed by the author undertaken in approximately the first six months of his doctorate. The aim of the project is to build a vibration isolation table using non-contact magnetic springs. The document is structured with an introduction to the project, followed by an introduction to the field of magnetic levitation, including a literature review. ...
متن کاملIsolation of Performance Halls from Ground Vibration
One of the inherent characteristics of transportation systems, especially steel wheel and rail systems, is that vehicles running on the roadway or trackway generate vibration which transmits through the ground into nearby buildings. As our urban areas build up or are redeveloped, it is frequently desired for a variety of reasons to place a concert hall or theater in a location which is in close...
متن کاملEnhancing Vehicular Applications by Exploiting Network Diversity
In this work we introduce a new model for exploiting network diversity in vehicular environments, which integrates ad-hoc communications with the existing cellular infrastructure aiming to meet the diverse communication requirements of vehicular applications. Although there are a plethora of reported studies on either 802.11p Digital Short Range Communications (DSRC) or cellular networks, joint...
